Default Bad Converter or Bad Transmission

Ok, I did some research on this issue in the archives. But still baffled. The car occasionaly will slip in OD, after its warmed up. I stifted it into drive, it still slipped. Then it just goes away and acts fine. Wondering if I may have a bad converter. I am getting ready to replace the converter with a Yank 3000, but don't want to re-install it only to find out I have a bad trans.
By the way, I get no trouble codes, or misfires when it happends.

Thoughts??

Sounds like it could be your converter clutch slipping or your 3/4 clutches. Get a scanner on it and watch the converter slip, that will tell you. Watch for when it gets commanded and the slip should go down to 0, or very close. If you are getting a slip of 100 or more it is the converter. If you feel the slip when the converter is not commanded to lock up, then it might be the 3/4 clutches.

Thanks. What scan tool displays that information?
