Default transbreak not locking up??

I have a th-400 with a transbreak. This was installed 2 months ago and was locking up immediately. Now when I hit the button it will not lock up instantly. It will roll 5 to 10 feet then lock up. Or I have to hit the button, foot break, give it gas, then take my foot off the break and it will stay locked.

Can anybody give me advice on what is happening??

I had a TCI brake that did the same thing. I ended up putting in another brand brake. It could also be low voltage at idle which would explain why it works when you rev the motor up. The brake solenoid sucks up a lot of amps, more than you would think.

I put a charge on the battery from 1pm till 9 then I took it out for a spin to see if that was the issue. At 1st when the car was cold it locked up as soon as I hit the button. Then I drove it around a little hit the button again and it started rolling engine temp 180. I foot braked it and it started to grab at 1300 but held at 1400 rmps. drove it around some more(temp up near 200) hit the button at 1400rpm and its not hold it held at 1800rpms. WTF

Broke your "break"...
Check the volts at the solenoid, and the circuit integrity.

Where is the voltage supply for the Brake sourced from?

Most Brake solenoids draw less than 5 amps. It does not need a relay and it should be from a switched battery source.

9 times out of ten on a fresh unit like yours the issue is a poor voltage supply.
