Default Trans Prob

I just had a 4l65e installed in my car and it ran fine for about an hour or so and I was driving it and all of a sudden i lost all gears 1234 and also reverse. I can turn the car off for a minute and start it back up and it will do in reverse fine but it when i put it in drive it seems to be taking off in 2nd now. It will only drove for a couple of minutes now without losing every gear again.. Anyone know what it could be?

The trans guy said that he wanted me to do a line pressure test to see if it had enough pressure, he said he thinks they may have not put the converter in correctly.. but im positive that they put it in correct they install transmissions in these cars all the time.

Well with the car moving forward for a short time after you tun off and then place in gear I am thinking the filter is clogged where something has failed , You can do a line presure test but I would pull the pan also . A quick test for the pump is to unhook one cooler line and start engine fluid should spray , It is does the pump is fine .

Its either the selector switch or the plug in connector, or electrical connections inside or some place else.

None of what you have mentioned would produce a no movement condition.

Finally got around to getting someone to go through the transmission. Apparently the shop that did the shop did not flush any of the lines and cooler... The transmission had so much trash in it that it was stopping everything up luckily nothing was hurt in the transmission just needed to be cleaned out real good.
