Default tranny starting to act up!

I just installed a Fuddle 3600 stall about 400 miles ago and 2nd/3rd gears are starting to slip now. My question is if this tranny quits on me now, would this stall be affected? Would I be able to just install this same stall in a new tranny or would I have to send it to get cleaned out /restalled? I just did a H/C installation and that didn't go so well either. Let's just say my luck hasn't gone so well lately!

I would stop driving now and get another trans or a rebuild before it fails completely . likely at this point the converter is just fine

This scenario happens more than most guys realize.

It would be smart to repair or replace the transmission before severe damage occurs. As it stands now there will be insignificant clutch debris in the fluid, and converter of course. The converter can be flushed with mineral spirits or tranny fluid as it stands now.

If the tranny were to fail, cutting the converter open would be a judgment call. It would be based on the condition of the internal components of the tranny itself. If it made a lot of metal debris, then yep the converter should be cut open and have the bearings replaced. If it only exhibits clutch material, it should be ok with a good flushing.

Hope that helps.
