Default is it just me or?

Is it just me or does my 3000 stall flash no where near where it should. Taped a run at the track stalled and went typical 60' no matter what i try...my 60' actually goes up if i try 1800 or 2200. 1200-1300 nets the best 60's. I dont know the str or that all i know its a pro torque 3k stall and i can get the specs if i get the serial number off it.

What kind of 60ft times are we talking about? Many people have the best luck launching off idle or 1000 to 1200 rpm, such as yourself. Personally, I think you need more converter.

More information is needed before I can say.

Most stock F-Bodies are going to run better lap times from just off idle. The reason is the torque multiplication of the converter.

But, I will say that based on the video... you need one of two things, a looser converter or more power.

car dynoed just over 325 to the wheels and i have never gotten the car to 60' better then a 1.80 no matter what i've tried. I've tried 800 to 900 rpms, idle, holding it at a lower 1k rpm and mashing the throttle down and about halfway coming off the brake, holding it at 2200 etc. The more rpms its hard to explain what the converter does but its like the converter bogs down it just feels like there is nothing there.

from that video it just looks like the converter is just really tight. I think you would benefit from a looser converter. my vig 3600 flashes to 4000 and on the shifts never drops below 4800 rpm.. I've run a slew of low 1.6 60's on it with just bolt ons and sticky tires.

WERD...my vig 3600 flashes some where in the 4k range....and i think after the shifts it only drops to about 5200 or so...i know its not under 5k. I can brake stall about 2700 on regular street tires, they wont hook if i let off the break.....lol

3 3600 Vigs in a row haha...

For the record My Vig3600 loves to launch from 1100-1300RPM and flashes to ~4000 every single time. Anytime I try 1800, 2500 of 2700(the highest I can footbrake it to) it runs a high 1.68-1.7X 60"

I 60" 1.625-1.632 Consistantly and have gone 1.60X quite a few times. My Car Dyno'd 318RWHP and 312RWTQ on a 224Dynojet... The car runs 12.15-12.23 consistantly@108.5 in 2000ft Elevation.

The reason I went with the Vig3600 Is because I knew it would be a beast on the spray. I can't wait for some 1.48-1.54 60" and some 10 Second passes next month.

BTW my Vig 3600 may be available in the next week or two... I'm weighing the pros and cons of going to a TH400 before we finish up the cam and N20... It has less than 3K miles on it ~20 Passes(half only 1/8 mile) and is still under warrenty with one free stall change on it through next year.

I wish I could use it with my TH400 swap
