T56-TH400 swap, estimated cost/parts list
I know many of you hate questions like this but I've tried searching a few different times and I never have time to come up with a complete list. I have a lot of other issues with my build that I'm trying to deal with and I really don't have time to deal with this right now so I'm asking for some help.
I should be making around 1000 flywheel HP with my current build. I know my stock T56 is not going to hold up. I would say my goals for this car are 55% street 45% track. I hate the idea of loosing my OD but I want a rock solid setup that I don't have to worry about. Everything in the car is built except the trans and I really don't know which way to go with it.
I've read over the stickys about it so I have some idea about what needs to be done but could you guys give me an estimate on what it would cost? I just purchased a new clutch, drive shaft, and Moser 9" with 3.73 gears. I know I wasted my money on the clutch and hydralics...with my luck I'm guessing the drive shaft is going to be the wrong length and the 3.73 gears are not going to work either.
To the sponsors : I would be fairly likely to buy everything from you "if I could afford it" if you would be willing to put together a package deal that includes everything I would need for the swap. Like I was saying, I have a lot of other issues with the build and I really don't want to deal with pieceing everything together. Every time I tackle something like this it ends up adding months to the build to figure out everything I need and get it in my hands.

We do these conversions and others frequently here at ACE.
I'll send you a P.M. here in just a little while.
What we find about conversions is no two are ever the same. There is allot to consider. Some guys go with other sub sytems like N2O while others want suspension upgrades to go with the new powertrain combination.Because we believe in doing it right the 1st time it can be quite an undertaking. But, we have the experience and the know how to make it happen for you.
I'll get you some baseline numbers with an option or two to start looking at. And we'll go from there.

Can you send me a quote also?... I would like a trans-brake, a good stall, and whatever else you recommend.

You bet!
Look for these tomorrow please. We are having a LoneStar Muscle Car Club meet here at the shop tonight. Thats going to consume my evening from here on out.
I'll get you guys a pretty detailed list as soon as I can sit down and compile it. I have a list, it needs to be revised though.
Thanks for the interest.

Well, well, well.... through the power of the IC chip I was able to dig up some old correspondence and apply it to this question. All of you guys have p.m.'s now.
No doubt there's allot to absorb. I would expect for you guys to have questions. Don't hesitate to get back with me as nothing is set in stone. There is no right or wrong way to do the swap. Only way to screw up is to half *** it!
I'll be available to answer your questions just about any time. Look me up!
Thanks guys,

Sure, you have a P.M.
Remember guys, the list I provided is a list that I have compiled from 1st hand experience here at the shop. No two conversions come out the same... mainly because there are so many different vendors for the components used.
Before you make your decision on this, give me a call or get in touch with me so I can help you iron out some of the details!
