Default Problem

well lately i noticed that my car hasnt been running as usual.
when im at a stop and on Drive my car does not move forward at all,its like if its on neutral. i have to give it gas in order for it to move. also when the car shifts into 2nd gear, it goes in very smoothly. before, the 2nd gear would go in very hard. it seems like its loosing power. now my question is do you guys think it can be the transmission or the rear end. i recently had some transmission work done and i installed the rear end gears about 2 months ago myself. this has been happening for the past 4 days. i have warranty on the transmission but the place is like 1 1/2 hours away from my house, and if its possibly the rearend then i'll probably take it to get fixed somewhere nearby.

thanks for the help

Have you checked the fluid level? The rear end is not going to cause this condition.

You need to call the company that did the work, let them tell you the best route to go. Sounds to me like it's low on fluid or has internal pressure loss.

Put it up on jackstands then and see how the rear axle feels.

what i also noticed was that when i first start my car in the mornings the car runs perfectly fine, it shifts hard into 2nd gear and runs with power. after it warms up about 5-10 minutes, or about 5 miles of driving, thats when it starts acting the way i mentioned above. it seems it loses power when it shifts gears, and starts making grinding noises when driving slow 5-15mph
But it runs fine in high speeds.

anybody had the same problem before?

IMO sounds like you have a trans failure in progress. The softer shifts are either due to hydraulic leaks internally or possibly a filter clogging from debris from a failure. You are gonna need a trans real soon
