Default 01 5.3 engine, 04 6.0 harness, 98 ls1 4l60e...?

would using 2001 5.3 engine, 2001 5.3 PCM, 2004 6.0 harness, 1998 ls1 4l60e cause any issues for the tranny or anything?

I have the car running and driving, but the tranny shifts very fast 1-3 and then stays in 3rd gear while driving, and pulls up codes p0740 and p0785

You still have some electrical issue. I am not sure of or if there were any changes between those years. However the codes your getting are for tcc solenoid electrical and 3-2 solenoid electrical .
You can use this link to find out what any codes you have mean.By any chance did the PCM or harness come from a 4l80e truck ?

Yea im still having issues, im glad you posted so hopefully you can help me out again. but thats a good question, The harness may have come from a 4l80e....

But look at this. I went out today to mess around a little bit and still pulled the same codes, p0740 and p0785. Well i kept the OBDII scanner up to my port and went on driving with scanner connected, and went to higher speeds. (My scanner keeps scanning every 15 seconds if hooked up) I deleted the codes while on the roll, and then when it was done it shifted into overdrive? And if i would go WOT, it would downshift to 3rd and shift fine into OD.

When i first started the car to take it out i put it in 1st, and i can tell it was there. Then it would shift if i got to higher RPMs, and shift hard.

Ok well first thing is to determine which wire are going to the lockup solenoid and the 3-2 solenoid and make sure they are correct solenoid electrical means either its and open or short circuit

ill have to find out if the harness is from a 4l80e if i can get ahold of my buddy who i got it from. Cause if it is a 4l80e harness thats probaly my issue cause it does have some different pinouts.

But why when im driving and delete the codes it shifts into OD just fine?

the harness is from a 2004 Silverado 2500HD Did those all come with 4l80e?
looks like ill have to switch the pinouts to the correct pinouts for a 4l60e. Im thinking that is probaly my issue. Looks like if its the 4l80e harness it doesnt even have a connector for the pinout "U" and "T" which are both for the TCC. And it doesnt look like i can just switch pinouts. Ill have to get a new harness.... GRR!!

well.... i think im pretty sure i found out my issue. Its cause the engine harness is from a 6.0 with a 4l80e tranny. so it doesnt have those 2 pinouts, that i was probaly throwing codes for. Well i may have done something bad to the tranny or the stall now???

Now when i drive the car ( which i wont be doing now, cause im going to throw in a 700r4 for now.) But if i step on the gas pedel to go, it just revs up really high ,and then it may catch. What would that be? a blown pump, or the tranny shot now?

please let me know. thanks
