What would cause a leak out of the bellhousing?

It's a 2002 4L60E that was apart 4 years ago for a shift kit and the pump seal, o-ring, gasket were replaced. It always dripped a little. I did an M6 swap and the trans sat for 4 years.

I recently put it in another car and it drips very little if I drive it, in fact some days it doesn't drip. Now it recently sat for a week and left a puddle on the floor.
The engine and trans were mated together out of the car so I know the dipstick isn't leaking at all. The cork pan gasket is damp.

I just took it out. The stock converter was dry all the way around, the whole inside of the bellhousing is dry except for the bottom. It did spill out of the converter but my finger in the inspection hole came out soaked.

I ordered a DuraLife teflon coated bushing, and all the gaskets, seals and o-rings for the front and back. I just have a feeling the leak wasn't the pump seal.
What else could it be?
ps the pics are about useless but...

Is it possible that the pan is what was leaking. I have seen it leak down the bell and appear to be a front seal leak. I personal would use a fiber gasket and make sure that you have good straight/flat pan. Vince

Would it get inside the bellhousing?
Before I pulled it I put my finger in the hole and it had fluid in there.
Yet it seems like if it was the seal the centrifugal force would sling it all over the converter and the top of the bell.
The converter was so dry it was rusting.

Well I got it all apart and don't see anything.
The pan gasket had dry spots on it.
The pump o-ring wasn't nicked (what if I mistakenly had a th400 o-ring in there?)
I guess I'll just wait for the parts and put it back together.
I ordered a transgo pump ring kit too.
