Default New '99 z28

I just bought a '99 z28 A4 with 76,116 miles on it. I want to replace the tranny fluid but I heard from people not too. Dont know why? What kind of fluid do you recommend? I am going to replace it when I put a Vig converter and transgo shift kit in. Just wandering. Thanks!

Sometimes if the trans fluid is too dark and dirty or burnt.. then changing it will only kill the transmission quicker. It will be a lot thicker when dirty and if you swap in new transmission fluid it will be thinner..the trans won't like it.

yea, if your changing the torque converter and installing a shift kit your going to have to put new fluid in anyway, so just wait until you do that mod.
