how would a tranny cooler help?

Default how would a tranny cooler help?

I know the car have a cooler in the radiator right? Well I was wondering why a external cooler anyone?

most of the tranny guys will want you to bypass the stock cooler for their warranty to hold

but another cooler is beneficial because of added volume and cooling ability

To keep the fluid temps down lower that the stock cooler in the radiator can , Particularly with a stall theres more heat generated, The stock cooler was only designed to eliminate a certain percentage of the heat so if you make more heat then it becomes inadequate.
And the simple fact keep the trans cooler the fluid stays good longer the trans last longer.

if you are putting a big stall and will be driving in traffic alot or racing alot then yes a fan is ideal

I have mine set up to go through the radiator then the aftermarket cooler and back to the trans. Temps usually at 177-188 tops with my 3200 stall.
