Ok guys i need a little help here. I plan on converting my 02 SS to a automatic TH400. I found this company called Monster Transmission. Anybody heard of them? If so do they build a good tranny? Also does anybody have a good recommendation for company who builds a good TH400?

I can say anything one way or the other about monster , However I would strongly suggest that you look to one of the sponsors here and feel free to look at what we offer.
Good ADVICE

It sucks for the paying sponsors here that there is a google ad banner on the top of this forum throwing this crap up there.
Look back at the past few days in this forum and see whos posting and go with one. Monster sure as hell isn't here.

I've heard good things about all the sponsors here. Also from other sites a couple names that pop into my head is Rossler and from Yellowbullet it sounds like Hutch's transmission from Canada makes a heck of a unit.

No TH400 is a 3 speed auto the closest you can get is a 4L80E or a GEAR VENDOR OD on the back of the 400 and in either case that cost way more than a 4L60E if money is the reason for getting a 400 over a 60e then your barking the wrong tree is you actually drive the car your loss in fuel is going to be near 30 percent which will very quickly kill any difference in the price

I don't care about fuel economy i use the car maybe 1000 miles for the year if that its not a daily driver. I'm new at the automatic world all i care about is whats the best perfomance tranny for a boosted car that will make 1000hp that my goal. Whats your opinion?
