Default 3500 tci unlocking on highway

ok well i have a 3500 tci,the thing is i have never had the converter tuned for the car, well it seems to always randomly unlock on the highway.. i was wondering if this was because it wasnt tuned yet??

Random misfire can cause the converter to lock and unlock randomly. Sometimes with the reduced weight of the smaller converter the PCM may think they are there even when they are not actually there and cause the converter to lock and unlock randomly.
The converter its self cannot lock and unlock randomly on its own so I would say its a tuning issue

I would certainly look there first and random missfire real or PCM imagined may not set a code

My TCI lock up clutches went bad. I still have to return the T/C to TCI but have not had time.
