Default non stalled a4 guys with 3.23s...come inside

just picked up a 98z with that supposed to have factory 3.23s...this is my first auto fbody car and have a few questions. What kind of RPMs are you guys turning at cruising speeds? around 60mph?? also whats the factory stall speed?? thanks in advance

i dont remember at 60mph but at 80mph my engine is around 2600rpm with 3.23's. i know a LT1 has a 1800 stall. the LS1 should be pretty close to same.

I can say that at 70 my stock geared car did 2000rpm with the 3.23;s

ok didnt know it was normal to tach that high in a4 cars; thought i had an issue for a moment...i guess i got spoiled with a 6spd and 4.10s taching 1800rpms running 65+

that seems to be around where im at...i know for a fact at 75-80mph im taching 2500rpms!! and it was somewhere around 2k around 60-65pmh

you can also get the rear tires off the ground and spin one wheel 1 full rotation while counting how many time the driveshaft turns. that will also determine the rear end ratio

hmm im turning 2100 or so at 80. thought i had 3.23 maybe i have 2.73 then

i'm at like 1800 or so at 60 though

I don't really know what my rpms r but the ls1 car came with an 1800 stall from the factory. i'll let u know what my rpms are too!
