Default 4L80E or 400 w/gearvendors OD

Having OD is a must.

Which of the two will be the stronger and longer lasting set-up?

Can they handle say 1,300-1,400 RWHP for highway runs? No drag racing.

Sponsors, whats the price for these two complete set-ups? PM me please.

Can I get some opinions on which would be the stronger set-up?

Mainly wondering if the gearvendors unit can handle the power/torque.

Thanks.

I was under the impression from when I was doing some digging that they were good to 1000 out of the box and after that you may just need to call them. I believe their website said they can build them stronger if needed. Not sure what that does to the $$$ though.

As far as the th400 vs. 4l80e goes. I would think with enough cash either one would handle what you are looking for. Vendors will surely chime in with more details.

The 4L80E is an overdrive and computer controlled version of the TH400, so both should be equal. The choice comes from if you can have the computer control the trans or if you choose not to. The 4L80E will be easier to tune for the best shift properties, while the TH400 will be the easier to install (in regards to electrical connections).

Thanks. If strength is the same, the 4L80E is the easy choice.
