Default P0785 Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction

Have a 97 firebird formula ws6. Just got it over the weekend and had the codes scanned at work. Got the P0785/Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction code pulling. On my way home for lunch it seemed to be in "limp"mode as i only had 3rd. On my way back i had all gears. The oil pressure switch is leaking and oil is on lots of parts/sensors. Didn't know if oil getting into a connector could be the problem. Also came across a TSB saying that code could be pulled if an aftermarket alarm was on the car, which there was/is. Also when i got home i popped the hood to cool it off since my fans don't seem to be working. Anyone know if it's most likely the fan motors or a relay? Any help would be awesome since i need this car as a daily driver. Sorry to load all this into the transmission, but figure someone will have a clue. My radio only comes out one speaker, and sometimes turns up or down on it's own? Any known issues with that??? Thanks again.
