UPDATE 9.88@141 !!!!!!

You guys thought this was a broken trans thread i'm sure....


10.01@143.15 In a 3988LBS pickup truck.

Thanks again, to Chuck and Vince, I threw everything I had at this transmission last night and it didn't care. I spun pretty bad about 50 feet out so I am confident it has a 9 second pass yet this year.

Wasn't a one hit wonder eaither 10.07@143.68 and a 10.16@143.5 track was getting pretty cool making the tracition issue worse.




The Combo
Truck is a 2002 S-10 originally a 2.2L 5 gear.
Engine setup is
370 Cube Iron block
Compstar Rods
Diamond Pistons
Trend tool steel pins
Comp Cam
Patriot Stage II LS6's
Yella terra Rockers
Mamo ported Fast
Cleavite Bearings
ARP Studs
Precision T76GTS
Tial 44MM Gate
Tial 50MM BOV

Yank SS 3600 Converter
FLT Level 5 Billet output

Currie 9"
3.55 gears

MT 295/65/15 Drag radial

Nitrous system is from Nitrodave, 90MM Plate kit with the NX Boost referenced progressive controller. Truck Is HP tuners tuned by me.

3988 pounds dam on a s10?

my old s10 ss with 4.3 v6, no ac, no tailgate, no spare and rollpan was 2910 pounds. DOes the v8 swap add that much weight??

ive been searching for a single cab stepside xtreme for a while now to do a swap. i cant find any (atleast for a decent price)im tired of playing with my full size haha. how bad is the swap? will any longtubes work?
