What are the differences between an LS1 and LT1 converter?

Default What are the differences between an LS1 and LT1 converter?

Like the title says, what are the differences between an LT1 and lS1 torque converter for a 4l60e?

If you're asking are they interchangeable don't think they are.

I know they aren't directly interchangeable, just wondering exactly whats stopping it.

Different bolt patterns. Both are 30 spline, but the O-rings are in different locations. And the height is different.

LT1 = Over All Height ~ 5.950
LS1 = Over All Height ~ 6.500
