Default tranny shipping questions

when i ship my stall out do i have to leave any fluid in it or can i just dump it all out. for those of you that have shipped trannys what do you guys put them in to ship boxes crates ect where did you get them from i dont know how to package it

I have found the big plastic smart bin from walmart with a bunch of cheap pillows to imobilze it works well if your shipping ground which is definatley cheaper don't let the shipper get you though should cost 80 to 110 dollars any where in the mainland usa .
All fluid should be drained as much as possible i it leaks it will get stuck

so if i ship it ground i can just buy a big plastic bin from walmart or target and stuff them with pillows does it matter if its clear? i planned on using dhl or ups ive never shipped something this big

The smart bin is in the auto section its black and yes we ship ground every day UPS but now fedex is a little cheaper and DHL cheaper still

ok thanks so much last question how much does a 4l60e weight it will have all the fluids drained and no stall in it when shipped
