Nice looking car, but the whole concept that "electric cars produce less emissions than combustion engines do," is a joke. How many emissions are produced @ the power plant in order to produce the electric power that the car is plugged into?

It looks like a Lotus because it is a Lotus.
The Tesla is made out of the Lotus Elise and the cars are shipped from Lotus in England to Tesla in California for final assembly.

I like it. I don't like EVs at all but if eventually forced to drive one it will look something like that.
Yeah? Both the Chrysler EV concept (pictured in the link above) and the Tesla are based on the Elise?
Interesting stuff.

I don't like the front end.
I like the torque of electric motors and how its delivered, but as it stands right now, you can have a more powerful car that weighs less with a combustion engine.

you guys are crazy. EV's are the future. Im a huge fan. I think everyone should start DD Evs and keep our vettes and fbodys for weekend fun. Why not drive something all week that uses no gas? Save it for the weekend. And Ev's are just as much fucn as a v8. Has anyone here drove a Tesla? Or a Shelby EV replica? Theyre a blast!!! Or even the Rav4 EV. Electric engines have 100% torque 100% of the time. It makes for a zippy, fun ride. This car, if its ever produced, will be amazing! Ill buy 10 of them. And change all the front ends but thats aside from the real beaty here.

Once we have plenty of nuclear power I would agree...until then I think we should use gasoline. At the moment we create our electricity using coal. I do not want to be breathing coal fumes.

Well, the've proved that fossil fuel is really made from more than just dinosaurs. And Dodge paid for the body, so it purposely looks that way. And 480 lbs torq comes with it.

The Dodge EV isn't even a real car, it's a concept trotted out to make Chrysler look like a viable green company so they could get their hands on government money when the time to beg arrived.
