Camaro outselling Mustang again
Even with the addition of a 5.0 GT, it looks like the Camaro is poised to outsell the Mustang in back to back years. Good to see the tables have turned. http://gmauthority.com/blog/2011/04/...ch-2011-sales/

needs more power, less weight, sra, less cheap plastic, better visibility, better rear glass area/fenders, and the ability to turn into actual autobots in case a ford is faster then you. Pow Pow!

That was an ENTIRELY different situation. The Mustang was outselling the F-body 3-1, the Canadian plant was defunct, they didn't advertise it, and GM was hemorrhaging money. Totally different.

We're not starting this argument again. The Camaro is getting put on the smaller/lighter Alpha platform for a damn good reason, regardless of the picture that sales figures paint. And it received an interior upgrade this year for a good reason as well.

X2, and the only reason the Camaro is selling so good is that the Mustang hasn't had a major update since 2005, IMO.
Either way, who gives a ****? Both are selling good, both are outselling the Corvette, and I would take that over either without even thinking about it.

Solid rear axle? Nah, been there, done that.
Less cheap plastic? I don't even know what that means, this isn't the 3rd gen Camaro anymore. I'm personally very impressed with the quality of materials used inside of the new Camaros. Even more so when one considers just how much car you're getting for only $31k (only $23k for V6).
Better glass area/rear fenders? I can accept some criticism on the tail lights for sure but those rear fenders/quarters are among the attributes that make the car in my opinion.
And apparently a whole bunch of new Camaro buyers seem to agree with me.

i said and im correct that GM did an excellent job on this car from a buyers standpoint. what you think of this car isnt the perception from the auto industry and people who buy and will continue purchasing this car.

As car enthusiasts, we can always use more power and/or less weight.

why cant people just accept GM did an excellent job with a 5th gen and stop bitching?
