Nice! Power should climb slightly once they break in the engine.

Question

Wait, both cars (yellow and red) made the identical power numbers?

Or is it safe to assume that those are the results from just one of the two cars?

And those are 'manual trans' numbers I assume?

Strong numbers either way.

Thumbs up

if these numbers are indeed accurate it would appear they're slightly underrated.

Those LSA engines are impressive. I look forward to the results from the Lingenfelter "packages." I'm sure they'll add some solid power to the car, at a ridiculously inflated price (my biggest gripe with them.)

I just want to see this thing with a pulley swap and tune. The pulley swap alone, done in your garage with hand tools, plus the tune should net about 100hp more to the wheels (per similar results on the CTS-V).

Good results. Lingenfelter said one ZL1 will get a heads and cam package while the other will get a pulley and bolt ons. Should be interesting to see.

Nice baseline numbers. I rather see another shop mod one though cause lingenfelters overpriced "packages" are lackluster.

11% driveline loss. Either GM is doing wonders, or the motor is a little underrated.

Both .
I second the pulley swap and tune comments above; but would like to add headers.

So if you do the math, 15% drive line loss (manual tranny and 9.9 rear) that's ~610hp. And on a mustang dyno...Very interesting

Judging from the first dyno pull and 1/4 mile times done by Hennessey Performance, I'd say GM just wrote the number down on a piece of paper to impress people. I'd hope to God they just babied the car on its first trip out, or that Camaro engineer who said it would be right there with the GT500 is full of ****.

im not a fan of hennessey and that car is an auto. that dyno chart drops off big time compared to LPEs car.

but thats much slower than i expected from any zl1. its still early in this cars track testing so ill wait and see what happens.

i do expect a stock 11 sec. pass from a zl1 or ill be very disappointed.
