It's been in financial dire straits for a while now. Not really surprised to hear the news.

It's been in financial trouble since around the time the new owners took over everything and put a stranglehold on business in the area.

You know it really saddens me when dumb *** CEO or high executives only give a **** about the cash they get & forget the most important thing & that's how to run a good business... The whole thing with the hotels & renting the track. One thing I think they should do with the track is widen it so you can get more types of racing in it. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's the reason Indy doesn't use it? Anyway looks like its time for new management!

On a side note anyone know if there going to make a replica of the ring in Nevada?

Why doesn't GM just buy it as a test track...since they spend so much time there.

That's what I was thinking. Gm should buy it and then rent it out when they're not using it so they make some money off of it too.
