Default GM Super Sport Sedan concept

I know without a doubt that if GM made this concept available to the public it would be a hot seller. Strong but refined look, DO THIS GM!!!

Pretty awesome looking actually, hopefully it's close to what GM has planned.

Get the interior right and offer it with the LT1 motor and a V6 option, and watch 'em sell.

Leo I hope you're kidding about the LT1 motor. Rumor has it the 6.2 LS3 that the Camaro and the G8 GXP have will power it and it should be available with a 6-speed manual trans. And the car will be built for sure since NASCAR will be racing it in 2013.

I think we can all assume that when someone says LT1 they mean the new DI LT1 and not the opticspark one. The concept looks good

Like KingC8r stated GM's newest V8 6.2 Direct Injection motor is also designated the LT1 and that is the one I would hope for, not the '93 LT1, LOL.

That's pretty lame to name a new engine design the same as a previous one. I guess it took too much effort to think of new name for it. Something like LZ1 would have been much easier to tell them apart.

Oh, did you first find out just now/above that the new 2014 Corvette's (and possibly others) engine is being called LT1?
I'd just assumed that every/any member of the LSx related performance car scene/message boards had to know that already.
I think it's going to be a GREAT engine and I too hope that it finds it's way into this new SS sedan (I do think that some variation of it will as the new trucks are getting a version of it).

And for the record, that last LT1 (1993-1997) was not the first time that designation was used either...it also denotes one of the greatest Chevrolet small blocks of ALL time (1970-1972 LT-1).
'ZL1' has been used in the past.
'ZR1' has been used in the past.
'Grand Sport' has been used in the past.
etc.

Yes I know that, I had a 71 Z-28 with the LT1. It was my first car and it got wrecked so I put the motor in a 74 Camaro that I had painted Ultramarine Z-28 Blue.

I also had a 81 Camaro with a 305 4-speed posi rear end with American Racing 200S wheels that I bought new.

Nice, I love the '70 1/2 - '73 Camaros. My brother had a '73 (only a 350 2 barrel automatic) way back in the day, I got to drive it briefly when I first got my license.
Your '74 and '81 looked pretty nice too.

Thanks! The 74 was pretty fast since I installed headers, high rise intake, Holley 4 bbl carb and had a rebuilt auto with a shift kit. The 81 with the 305 just had dual exhaust with turbo mufflers so it wasn't that fast, but it was fun to drive with the 4-speed.

You have seen the actual car already?
I'm almost as excited (but not quite as much) for this new car as I am for the new Corvette.

The only problem I foresee is the price. I bet the base v8 with manual wont be under $29k. And that's crap. This won't help GM's bottom line. If it based at $27k. I'd be on board.

The G8 GT was $33K plus so there no way it will be under $30k. I would imagine it'll be priced close to the Camaro in the mid $30's.
