NEW YORK — The refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its world debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show.

The new Camaro "advances the design and performance attributes that have made it the most popular coupe under $50,000 for three consecutive years," said GM in a statement.

GM offered no further details at this point, but upgrades are expected to include suspension and wheel/tire packages. Interior improvements may also be in the works.

The Camaro targets the Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang and Hyundai Genesis coupe.

Sounds like the magnetic ride suspension will at least become an option. Would be nice to see an 18" wheel option for the SS models also.

Anyone know when the 6th Gen is penciled in to arrive? 2016?

From what it looks, either 2015-2016

The ATS being on the shared platform is good to go.

C7 is ready, along with the LT1. Going from what they've done before is introduce the next generation engines in the Camaro a year after the Corvette. (In this case maybe 2)

The Chevy SS is coming and Impala is getting an update. (all in all a lot of new stuff is coming from GM)

The Mustang is coming out with its next generation in 2015, Chevy will need to complete.

Cool can't wait to see what goodies they have in store. I'm really hoping it gets dropped to the 3600lbs range with rims a normal size (~18")

I hope you mean the 6th Gen, because I don't think a 3600lb 5th Gen would pass DOT approval.

Rumors say a LS7 could be part of this 2014 camaro, but if that was the case the price will be in the skies.

It could be, but doesn't have to be. There is a good possibility that GM ordered a lot of LS7 parts, and with the downturn of Corvette sales leading up to the 7th Gen, may have a decent business case for moving them.

Very very curious to how this refreshed model will they can either completely destroy it or make it look better but IMO a hard thing to do with the current design it has.
