Too much? Depends who you ask... That's like saying this or that is an ugly car. In the eye of the individual.

To me, it's more than enough, at least. They're leaving little on the table for the average new owner to do. That's good and bad. Personally, I have no desire to purchase that much power in a new car. There's also a 1000hp edition available, so...

Having all that power does nothing if you don't put the right tire on. If they would've put wider tires it might run better. 7xx horses on stock sized wheels.

They ran 12.0's, right? And their sister publication ran 10's because they USED tires for traction... Who cares though, really? Most of the few who will get that version aren't going to be racing and if they do, it'll probably be street racing with a good distance to go, from a roll. They'll have the ability to break 200mph and good on 'em... I can't find a reason to care, but that's just me.

Needs to be driven on a Nitto NT05R drag Radial or MT ET Street.

Thumbs up

I think it might be just a little too much, for a street car at least,. Those mediocre 'street tire' 1/4 mile numbers sort of prove that a little bit.
Bet it's fun as all hell from a roll though. :drive

I'd say probably. Sure it's insane but the Mustang platform doesn't easily hold that much power. Even the 662 HP GT500 is noted for lack of control.

Enough for some maybe, for me absolutely not. It was however too much for those crappy brakes.

It was too much for the tires even more than the brakes.
