They watered down the impressive and aggressive concept so much that it looks like a tin can now.

The first generation Impreza was available, in some markets, as a coupé. The 22B rally-road version was based off that body. I have no idea if it was available in the NA markets, but it wasn't sold in EU.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. lmao

At least the new WRX looks like a car, and not a cartoon character.

I was hoping to see the next gen. WRX get a performance upgrade and become competitive and relevant again. I always liked these cars and have been secretly wishing for an excuse to buy one.

http://www.ausmotive.com/pics/2013/S...concept-02.jpg

No idea how they went from a concept car that looked so mean and aggressive to a bland and boring production car. No hatch back this time around, which probably would have been a good looking car as the rear of the sedan is what they really messed up coming from the concept.

But either way, if the WRX is still $26k new it's a better deal than a lot of other cars. It's now using the same 2.0 as the BRZ with a 6-speed or CVT behind it.

ive always had the WRX slowly grow on me. Including the bugeye. This new one looks kinda wack though. Hopefully it looks better in person.
