"Is it all you hoped it would be?"
El. Oh. El.
If I had hoped for an optical abortion, then yes.

Is it just me or is the down slope of the roof ugly as all hell? In general I don't think it looks mean enough, it's too euro and since only 10% are being sold overseas I don't really see the point. I'm sure it goes like hell but boy does ever look like it wouln't.

I agree, a new face would have been fine but squishing the greenhouse and the other changes to the shape have managed to remove the classic look and presence it should have.

It's definitely styled for Europe and not for us even though it's our car. Funny that ten years after the LSX GTO backlash Ford drops a new Mustang bearing a little more than a passing resemblance and sharing a few cues.

I don't think it looks good, and I also don't think the new Camaro looks good. Seems like the new muscle car designs are a wash this time around. Exterior and interior wise there is nothing to brag about, nothing new really, unlike the corvette and viper, this is a big disappointment, just like the new wrx. I guess it gives people more time to save up if anything. Even if this car came with a little added power, I would rather have the current edition with a tune or mild upgrade. I was really hoping for a better interior though. If they had at least radically changed the interior to something much more upscale, it might fit the design, but this seems like a lose/lose situation inside and out. I just don't see how this is "better."

It really is similar to a 370Z, and it even has the little bottom mounted reverse(?) light (so racecar bro)

They want to change that with this generation. Not sure if they're gonna succeed at that because well, let's just say that about 30 years ago, this side of the Atlantic experienced the opposite of what America had in 2002. Plus the Camaro is selling more than GM expected, today I discovered that a guy in my town bought a white one with orange pinstriping.
But then again who knows. Chevrolet is seen as a budget brand in most if not all European countries, unlike Ford.

As for the car itself, looks pretty damn meh, although I haven't liked any Mustang lookswise since 2004 either.

There is something weird with those pics proportions. The roof height seems too low and the door looks too short. I t looks like a badly resized pic. I will have a better opinion with better pics.

At least those two end right, the Mustang looks like the guy designing it got to the A-pillar and though that'll do and just sloped it down. It doesn't fit the car at all. I'm interested what Ford guys think about it.

I'll still reserve thoughts on the looks for when we see the actual, no question about it, version. These look like badly shortened shots anyway. Actually, I saw the same basic thing, only at normal length and it looks much nicer, although I haven't seen enough to judge overall. For the record: The next Mustang model will sell like crazy, believe it. Less money for a 370z than a 370z costs?? Heh... That's genius! It will also leave the 370z in its dust in GT form and probably be very close in V6 or turbo 4 form. Handling will be better, interior will be more appealing(like the Nissan), etc. If this sells for 30k or less, it's a hit, period.

Another car this new Mustang strongly resembles is the FORD EVOS, concept from a few years ago.

This interior is vastly different than the current Mustang. I'm telling ya, this isn't remotely close to what they're using now.

I like it, personally. If that roof pitch is accurate, no way anyone over the age of 6 is fitting in that back seat.
