Personally, I think the new Charger looks awesome. A lot of comments about the rear looking too much like the Dart, but I love the looks of the Dart, so that's a good thing to me. 8-speed auto has made its way into this car as well. The significant change/upgrade here is the interior though. WOW. In before all of the comments on how the SS is still a better deal.
The Challenger has, to my eye, a slight refresh on the exterior, but still retains the good looks with the retro body. 8-speed auto made it into this car too, which is awesome news. Again, the interior. AMAZING. Yes, the Camaro will still beat it around the track, but this looks like an awesome car to live with on your daily commute (and occasional drag strip trip).
Nicely done, Chrysler/Fiat.

Challenger looks good, and the back end of the Charger as well. But don't like the new front...looks like an Express van, you know where they let the front end in plastic to save money.

Not sure about the front end of the Charger...I'll have to see it some more and in person to make a final judgement call. Everything else looks great, but I'd have a hard time telling a refreshed one apart from an older one unless they were side by side (or I could see the front obviously). Even the interior isn't changed much in the Charger.
However, I do believe the Challenger interior hadn't been too updated since it came out...so the refresh is a huge step forward and it looks great, as does the rest of the car.
As far as the exterior goes;
previous model = last 60's Challenger
refreshed model = early 70's Challenger/Cuda
They basically just seemed to update the styling of the new one by borrowing the same styling cues the old cars were updated with...and it's the EXACT PERFECT THING TO DO. They look great and this care is all about carbon copy retro style in a modern package. That's exactly what it has always been, and they exactly how they are keeping it. Awesome.

Lol!^
Charger looks like complete *** to me... Complete failure. I kinda like the Challengers refresh and agree with the person who mentioned the 70s look but I still don't like either style much to begin with... Im sure it will still be a performance failure too...

Barracuda had the biggest change from 1970 to 1971, going from 2 to 4 headlights and adding the gills.

The exterior of the Challenger did not need big changes so I am glad it was minimal. I am glad they re did the whole interior, it was nice before but was looking old/dated the new interior looks great. Hopefully both cars have a lot less cheap plastic on the inside.
They ruined the Charger.
