This is a nice thing to look at, even though I'm not personally enamored with the paint... It is a 1 of a kind, however.

What I wouldn't give to drive a car like that - DZ302 FTW!

^ That's why I'd be perfectly willing to overlook the color!

While I can appreciate the originality, the car bores me.

Wait, I responded to the wrong post here...

The 1969 Z/28 is boring, or the 2014?

Nevermind... the 69, obviously. Well, I get that... there's little to it, but it is iconic and does look outstanding, albeit in a terrible color...

Really? Have you ever had a ride in a DZ302 car?

I've never been a huge fan of the DZ302... Well, I was when young, but as time has marched on... that engine was HIGHLY overrated for about 30yrs(and honestly still is)... I like it for what it is, but the few which actually put out the big numbers are rather difficult to find(because, RACE CAR) and they were hardly what the standard production vehicle got, rated at 290hp and running upper 14's in the roughly 3,000 lb Camaro... That doesn't add up to the big hp we believed it had in the 70's and 80's and 90's... and....

Don't get me wrong, I'm liking the engine still, but I can see where someone isn't astounded... a standard 4th gen 93-up Z/28 would lay waste to it, stock to stock and the 93, for example, weighed more and was rated at less... 98-02... not even a funny contest, just annihilation.

The guy in the video was a little too excited about it. But I guess if you grew up in GB something like that would be wildly different. I love old cars and would rock that in a heartbeat, but I'd likely sell it for big bux and get something more enjoyable and interesting.

Each to their own. This is the engine that put Donahue on the map in the Trans Am series. And I agree with you guys, there are other combinations that are more "street enjoyable" with a broader torque curve etc...
