Z/28 vs GT3 RS

The RS seems to win out, but ... can't complain about the Z... terrible track conditions and it did well and edged out the GT3 when it was dry, according to Chris.
All things considered, even given the disposable income for either... I'd choose the Camaro Z/28 for sure. Don't get me wrong though, the Corvette is still my choice, but Chris thought the RS3 was the only competition(so he said, but we know he knows better), so that's what he borrowed. I think it's his own car, but he doesn't say.
He asked ... find another manual gearbox 500 or 400-something street car good for track days... I instantly thought of the Corvette and I'd expect any car person to do the same.
Anyway... the whole thing looked fantastically fun!

The GT3 may be 4yrs old, but it was just about the pinnacle of road capable Porsche, which says plenty... about how good the Z/28 really is.
Yesterday, I saw a story about the Z/28, Hellcat and Mustang GT and they did the road course thing. It was a short track, can't remember the one(but well known) and the Z ran a best of:
1:41.8 to the Mustang's 1:44.8 and the Hellcat's 1:45.8 ... all are good, but the Z is great. 3 seconds is huge over any "competitor" in any race.
