Default Viper SRT-10 Coupe

http://www.autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=101531

The hotness. Not as hot as the 1st gens but still better looking than the 2nd gen Roadsters IMO. Pity that they're not calling it a GTS as according to Autoweek they're not going to be racing in GTS anytime soon (hopefully this changes as the 1st gen Vipers were a force to be reckoned with in GTS in prior years).

I'd loooove to see the C6-R take on a 2nd gen GTS. The Corvette guys can talk all the **** they want about winning the GTS class at Le Mans 3 out of the past 4 years, but anyone who knows anything about FIA GT knows that Chevy's 2001 Victory in GTS probably would have went to Chrysler/Dodge had Team Oreca stuck around for another year instead of moving up to the LMP900 class.

Stock for stock the 06 Z06 vs 06 GTS (i'll just call it GTS for now) is going to be a close one. The Z06 will have a much better power to weight ratio, though is down 25ftlbs from the Viper

Time to see some good stuff from some cars I can't afford.

Actually I think it's down 50 lb.ft. as I believe the official torque rating of the LS7 is 475 lb.ft. It probablyhits its peak at higher rpms than the Vipers as well. Remember too that the Viper's peak rating is 525 lb.ft.

Looks nice, but not as aggressive-looking as the former-GTS coupe

Last I saw in Car and Driver they had both cars and the Viper times were like 12.0 at 121mph and the new ZO6 was 11.7 at 127 Also in the Article for the new ZO6 they said it was good for a top speed of 190+ thats just awsome!

I think this version looks awesome. I like the 1st gen, but I'd rather have the new design.

Ah, I thought the Viper was 500/500. My bad.

You guys don't think the new Z06 is a little under-rated in the power department?

Not impressive, to say the least. It does manage to outbreak the old Z06s by 4 or 5 ft, though.
