It wasnt the Roush plant. Roush doesn't have a plant realy. It was a steel mill right next to the Ford Rouge Paint Shop where they paint the new F150 trucks (used to build Mustangs there untill last year). Ford used to own the steel mill, but sold it to a Russian company about 5 years ago. This is where the first model T's were built. Iron ore would go in one end of the plant and a car would come out the other end. I have worked at that steel mill several times. Here is a link to what happened.

NO. Since when did people getting hurt and possibly dying become a laughing matter?

You are so right about that one! I have Caterpillar and Cummins engines/trannies over my head right before I install them into Peterbilt frames. They do their very best to keep us safe but one accident =no more badjuju342.If you work in this kind of industry and are not concerned about your safety , you need to find another profession.

Just to verify... No one was killed in the accadent. I believe there were 13 injured. The explosion was caused my molten metal spilling out of a pot (the full pot holds about 120 tons of liquid metal) and splashing on to the tires of the vehicle they use to haul the pots around. The tire caught on fire causing the air pressure in the tire to increase. I think thoes big tires only have about 5 psi air pressure to start with and the added heat caused the psi to increase enough to pop the tire. That was the explosion that was reported.

I had a Used car Dealership explode in my Fire district not too long ago. That was one long *** night for me. Cause was a natural gas main in the street broke and the gas traveled along the water main and gained access to the basement filling the room, the burner kicked on and well the rest is history.

That's almost like one of those "Final Destination" scenarios. That is God's way of saying "I will get you"
