I won't be buying one. I'm sticking with my '02. I'm tired of car payments.

He was saying the same stuff last year at a all chevy show here in the seattle area. at least in most cases when faith is involved there is some type of reference for us to refer to to gain some faith. But GM continues to keep us in the dark........

I'm thinking the same thing. An 03/04 would be very nice as I'm not sure the GTO does it for me. The 04 didn't anyway.

Used GM doesn't really count when you're talking about what they're "doing" versus what they've "done". Right now, they're doing shitty. Making shitty choices, stuck with ho-hum designs and plagued by a craptacular marketing department.

I'm not holding out for a new Camaro, especially since I'm a TA fan.
GTO doesn't do it, Solstice doesn't do it, Cobalt doesn't do it.

The only thing GM's got is the Vette, and oddly enough that Saturn roadster thing.
I say hello Dodge, hello Ford.

Just sad...

Just for the record, as far as performance is concerned, Ford has made some rather poor decisions in the past also. There is a reason that the 350 is the #1 small block in America and is soon to be followed by the Gen. III. But most of their supporters have stuck with them. Sure GM has made some bum decisions, but they will come through shortly. Heck, I LOVE my GTO. Not saying its for everyone, but I have yet to meet anyone who isn't very impressed with it, not matter what the magazines say. As far as Ford and Dodge are concerned, been there done that, good luck with that.
I'm sticking with GM.

I figured that's what you were getting at, but beyond that, there's only the unabtainable 'vette. I do agree.

Your right, there really is only the vette and GTO, if you buy new. However, over the years, no one has given more to the enthusiast than GM has and I honestly believe they will come back, stronger than ever. Again, as I said earlier, we all know they have made some fairly large boo boo's but they will come back. Until then, I'll enjoy my GTO. Its going to take more than just a 5 year (or so) loss of the Camaro for me to turn my back on GM.

I think its funny that people will turn to Dodge when they pretty much abandoned the whole v-8 rwd thing for 20 plus years. Then GM puts the Camaro on a x-year hiatus, while keeping the GTO and Vette in production and these same people make it seem like Dodge is so great. Not saying there a bad product but come on. Point is, in the big picture, every manufacturer goes through bad times. I'm an enthusiast, and overall, GM has been strongest in this category, so I will give them some time to pick up where they left off.
