That's right. I read in Car magazine (sorry no link, I was at boarders last night and happened upon the article in Car magazine) that Mercedes will release (at least in Europe) diesel versions of its SL and SLK Roadsters. If memory serves me right the SLK320 CDI will get a V6 with three... THREE turbochargers for 260ish hp and 450ish lb.ft. of torque while the SL400 gets a Gen III Twin Turbo Diesel V8 for around 300-400hp and a whopping 500+ lb.ft. of torque (sorry these numbers are ballpark but they are from memory). The SL400 will have enough power to be faster than the "base" SL500. I put base in quotations because over there they sell SLs (not SLKs but SLs) with V6s.
