Default 2009 CTS v dyno sheets! :)

Ok here goes just the first stage. The car bone stock is making 429.47 hp and 423.46 to the wheels. I made 5 pulls and they all matched that within 1 hp so i know it is accurate.

Then i removed the Boost controller on the front and made it straight to vacume so the engine could not pull boost. "Usually it adds free hp" SUPRISINGLY IT LOST HP! I was shocked. It made some kr when i did that so on the STOCK program it pulled 4 degrees of timing and then brought the numbers down about 4hp. and 4 torque.. So so much for free horsepower.

Using EFILive software with Virtual Ve tables and the Serial wideband input and a custom map for wot fueling.
I ran several other pulls to set up the final mail order tune and the numbers are this.. Maxed out safe tune with NO OTHER CHANGES is 478 horsepower and 478 ft pounds of torque to the wheels. That is a massive Gain! I ran 3 pulls each right after each other and waited 40 minutes for the last and they are all within .6 hp of each run and torque is mirrored... So the Gains are exact....

I then set up different tunes for different levels if the custom wants. from stock to all the way to max. Here is the dyno sheet showing values. including the one that says run 94 was the one with the 4degree of knock you can see where it pulled hp and torque.

Gas mileage is as follows. in 200 miles, i was at 16 mpg on the highway. Sometimes 17 at 70mph.. window sticker shows 18.... Well WITH the performance tune on ANY level, i have fixed thier flaws and am now AT LEAST 24mpg. If i drive easy, like i did on the way home i averaged 27.4 mpg for 68 miles straight on the highway...

So to sum this all up... $320 mail order tune gets you at least::

A horsepower gain of 36 To the wheels.
A torque gain of 55.
A GAS MILEAGE and drivability increase of 7, yes 7 mpg on the highway..
AND YOU KEEP YOUR STOCK ECM!

The gas increase has been verified and i also have High def video for 42 miles showing the exact average showing that value on the dtc for those that want to go thru the 46 minute vid..

i'd rather have a turbo'ed 2006 cts-v.
it's 370lbs. lighter and makes the same power at 4.5 psi.

I guess it is personal preference.

I can launch my 09 from a stand still at 3000 rpms with NO wheel hop. Also no fear of the Rear end takin a crap.. That to me is worth the 300more lbs....

Good job on the tune with huge gains. 500+ rwhp is a step away.

Might be a dumb question, but is anything built into a tune to account for the elevation a car will mainly be driven at? Or does the car handle that?

The E67 controller is very advanced. It can handle anything climate and altitude on its own. It even has a algorithm to mathmatically calculate e85 content, without a sensor. But i have seen that algorithm to get confused every once in a while. But the barometer compensation is very accurate..

You guys are welcome to post the pictures of my car on the other caddy forum. I can never make a screen name on it due to only having yahoo.com account for email. I think they said they where needing picks of a red one.

The exhaust will make a huge difference. They crimped it REALLY far down for no reason in 3 spots on it. Worse than on the 98 up camaros. Without cutting it in half, i would guess 1 inch is what it is set to.

Yes a pulley swap would easily get you to 500. Im sourcing crank pulleys now, Blower pully i would leave alone.
