so this wednesday i have to pick up a car. i have narrowed my decision down and just need some additional help on which car to get. i have weighed the PROS and CONS.

Here is what I am working with.

2005 Cts-V
color: black
interior: black
miles: 34k
Sunroof: NO
completely stock
NO ACCIDENT REPORTED ON CARFAX
100k warranty!

or
2005 Cts-V
color: silver
interior: black
miles: 40k
Sunroof: yes
Warranty: expires july 2009
Accident: reported in 2007 by first owner, primarly right side? (big deal or no)?

mods: magnaflow exhaust, bbk upgrade throttle body, volant intake, tuned on predator tunning, wheel hop kit

mods have but not installed: UUC poly motor mounts, and transmission mount?


Only concern i have is, one has been in an accident, so if i do try to sell it, people usually ask a lot of question. even though you cannot tell anywhere where it has been hit, (it was only minor damage though) nothing serious.)

I'd go with the black. The mods the other car has are nice but relitively inexpensive so it won't be hard to duplicate if you want.

I like the no sun roof option, 100k warranty, and no accidents reported.

As long as you can live with a black car (I don't have the time to keep one looking good), I'd do it over the other for sure.

B L A C K ! ! ! You must really like the silver ones, to even consider. Clean Car-fax vs. a sunroof? I work in the auto-body repair industry. "They are all minor accidents when they are for sell" Hope this helps. Looks like everyone else has my back too.

i ran the vin history and the black one came out good so did the silver.
but only problem silver says it been in minor wreck. thats what i dont like...

how hard is a black to maintain, i always had silver

and what is this deal i keep reading, the color black is faster, the color silver is faster

go blakc, harder to keep clean but you cant beat the look of a clean black CTS-V. with the mods it makes you ownder who drove it and how hard. Love the warranty, nice to not have to worry when you spend that kinda cash on a car. sure takes a weight off your shoulders at least IMO. seems like a no brainer to me.

Wouldn't go for the Silver because of the accident " cause like has already been said, There all minor when it's for sale"
Black V's ? Sorry guys, But I think there beautiful when there clean, It's just so damn hard to keep them that way.
I've owned 2 black cars in my life (the first & last one) & I just don't like cleaning cars enough to own one.
And you guys that do own black have my utmost respect
