Default Please post results after weighing your CTS-V here.

I'm trying to get independently verified curb weights for CTS-V's and their options.

Please post your CTS-V options, where you weighed it, and what the results were.

Thank you.

well i dont have personal experience, but I know that options really dont exist for the V. The only option I believe is sunroof, and fg2 shocks. Both of which would have a very negligible affect on weight.

I weighed 3763 on corner scales at Roebling Road race track. No sun roof which weighs about 45 lbs with wiring, drain tubes, switch... Probably 2/3 tank of gas.

2005 CTS-V w/sunroof:

Totally stock, 3/8 tank: 3799

Now with Hotchkis bars, Katech shifter, Corsa exhaust, K&N kit, Ground control and Team Dynamics wheels w/Hoosier A6 slicks: 3,770

Hotchkis sways drop 3 pounds, Corsa adds 7 pounds, Ground control drops 14 pounds, K&N kit adds 1.5 pounds, all four floormats are 7 pounds, wheel/tire package dropped 32 pounds.

I autocross my V, have my own chassis scales and I obsess about car weight.

Dump the seats, go crazy with dry ice and a pick. Maybe dump the rear window and sunroof with lexan. CF hood, trunk, front fenders. Might get you around 3400lbs

Doubtful, but if so it would require total gutting of the interior and removal of just about anything that doesn't make the car go, turn or stop. I'd hate to do that to a Cadillac. Buy an F-body instead.

Chef was talking about doing this. He even started in his trunk, but very quickly came to the decision to get give up and get a B(cough)M(gag)W instead ... last I heard that's what he's racing now.

I know this is an old thread, but i think each seat must weigh a good bit. so i think the front, rear seats, center console, all the air bags, all the entertainment stuff, headers, no cats, no fender liners, amp and sub, every thing in the trunk, all the tar under the carpeting, hood/ trunk supports, lightened clutch/flywheel, no sunroof.... i'm sure im forgetting some stuff though

but its possible. if i recall the racing v weighed under 3klbs

Wow, that's mid 12s on an unmodified car with just weight removal.

It should be less than that with a proper launch considering the c5 Z06 is capable of an 11.9 at 116 stock and it weighs 3115. According to gmhightech
