09 CTS-V needs more tire w/LPE. Any suggestions?

09 CTS-V needs more tire w/LPE. Any suggestions? I have a 09 CTS-V which now has the Lingenfelter Perfomance Package, 630HP 630TQ. Now all it does is smoke the tires.
I installed some Michelin Sport Cup tires 325/30-19 today and it looked to funny. There are 1/2" shorter than the book says. Any suggestions on what to try next. I want to stay with the same height tire.
By the way, the 285's off the rear look great on the front.

that's a great problem to have lol. good luck, maybe find some drag radials, jsut remember that bigger isn't always better. if you can find a good drag radial that should help. A new DR just came out there was a thread about it because it came in a 19.

630/630?? do you have a dyno sheet you can post??? Hennesey just came out with their v7000 kit, did one for a guy in KY, produced 605/601 to the wheels... and it was 15k...

Ryan, at LPE, says it make about 558HP at the rear wheels.

your probably better off with the stock tires than 325 stuffed on a 9.5" rim. that is WAY WAY WAY too much buldge, that tire would be too wide for a 10.5" rim. buldge actually hurts your traction, a little buldge looks kinda cool but none the less it hurts your traction. you actually want it ever to slightly stretched to get maximum contact patch.
with 19" rims your really limited in tie size. the toyo RA1's have a nice sticky tread but they have a very stiff sidewall so wont absorb any shock which will also cause you to light them up. you need both good sticky tread, and a soft sidewall for maximum traction. would it be possible to step down to 18" wheels? that would open up your possibilities.
as far as which tire, if you do alot of driving a nitto drag radial is a good tire. i wouldnt call it a true drag radial though. it will hook your car from a roll, but a stop your still going to spin. it has a kinda soft sidewall and the tread is designed to still let you drive in the rain with no problems but also give you maximum contact patch. with no burnouts they will also last up to 20K miles because the tread isnt anywhere near as soft as a true drag radial. when it comes to a DR that jsut strait HOOKS nothing beat M/T. ive had nitto, BFG, hoosier, and M&H and NOTHING came close to the M/T. my cobra is pretty light over the *** end, and has alot of weight reduction, on a 295/45/17 (has a FAT sidewall) stretched jsut slightly on a 10.5" rim i can launch from 4000RPM on the street on a warm surface and have ZERO tire spin, thats in a mid 10 second car that makes over 600 to the tire. people say they only last 2-3K miles, i have 3K on mine and they arent even down to half tread yet, but i also havnt been doing burnouts and stuff.

There is another post on here from another V2 owner looking to widen his stock rims, bigger footprint will help, but you need a better tire, like 888s or some sticky Nittos. Check the Vette forum, as many C5 driver have higher HP on their daily drivers and have sacrificed treadwear for traction.

Not 100% sure, but based on Michelin Sport Cups being popular with the P-car crowd, I think their performance edge is for the road course, not street traction.

I was told that by going to 18" wheels I would have more options. The only problem is 18" wheels will not fit on this car because of the huge brake calipers.

There are 18's that will work. Wait4me is running 18's and remember that the c63 amg has the same size front calipers and is also running 18in wheels. So they are out there, you just need the correct offsets and in this case design of spoke to go over the caliper
