Default Kooks is killing me.

Ordered 1 7/8" with catted connectors last week or a little before in hopes to have them in a week or so. I then heard rumors on here that there was a 2-3 week delay. So i got with the vendor and he spoke with Kooks finally today and got a message saying prroduction is 3-4 weeks out still. I ordered my cam and parts two days ago to be installed and tuned May 10th. So if they are 3 weeks out that pushes me past that, 4 weeks pushes me past Hot Rod weekend which I go to every year and I had planned to have it cammed and long tubed before it for a reason. Now this happens. $1200 bucks later and now this happens. I just dont understand.

That kind of robbery on headers, you'd at least expect some better production times.

Some vendors stock these and don't go directly through Kooks to drop ship them... In your case, it would have been worth the money to find a BETTER vendor who did have them in stock! Good luck!!

3-4 week delay for headers? It doesn't take that long to build the shell of a mid-sized aircraft. WTF?! Probably buying minor defected headers. Could probably take that long for headers to fail a quality checkpoint and still be repaired or accepted to use as is.

If it takes exactly 3 weeks i can squeeze it and get it cammed before i go, if not ill never buy a kooks product again. Your right its a good deal and if i wasnt tight on money with the impending cam swap id cancel the order and find them in stock but id have to pay 200-300 more for the same order.

I was in the same situation a few months back...Most vendors were telling me 3-4 weeks. I bought from Pascal Performance...the owner claimed he was tight with Kooks personally. I received my Kooks 3 days later straight from the factory.

Also mine are catless but I paid $975 delivered.

Wow are you kidding me??? I ordered from juiced, he said 2-3 weeks from jump street... two weeks is passed, what is the hold up? The connectors or the headers? I'm not waiting another 3-4 on top of my regular 2-3!

Hold up is the actual headers, the connectors were in production today. Yes I was told the same from Kooks when I called that since it was Clifford they were pushing them up to next week, so dont call Kooks and complain jersey haha at least not until i get mine.
