Default Powder Coat Stockers??

Pick up a second set of stockers for cheap so I can dedicate one set for winter and one for summer. I'm thinking about powder coating the summer wheels gunmetal or something like that. I don't really like the look of black wheels. Anyone have pics of gunmetal on silver or any other ideas?

There are pics floating around just do a search.

Also, if you find a set of curbed wheels, the powdercoat does an amazing job of covering it up.

Did you figure out what color you are going to do? I am having trouble myself. I have a buddy that is going to do the work for me and he suggested Black stardust. Couldnt find any wheels in this color but here is a example.

whats going to be better or cheaper, powdercoating or painting? The guy at the local powdercoat shop said it would probably be cheaper to have them painted.

Whats everyone paying to have their wheels powdercoated?

I have a pic of mine that are gunmetal with a satin clear in my avatar. I can't seem to upload pics to my acct anymore. pm me or email @ damonwns@yahoo.com or hit me up on facebook....I have pics on my fb during the process. I am a fan of the darker wheels against the silver.

If you put anything called Stardust on your car you do realize we are obligated to make fun of you right? Just making sure.

I can get wheels powder coated for about $50 each. I like the powder coat because seems to be easier to clean. I'm going to have my stock wheels done in flat black and throw the winter tires on them.

Here is a pic of my old Audi S4 that I did the wheels in gun metal, but they turned out pretty dark, looked good!

The powdercoat is MUCH easier to clean..just rock on with whatever wheel cleaner degreaser you want......I am a little scared of the painted wheels. The best quote I got was $100 ea, I'd been all over $50 ea. I'm in for about $25 total on mine. If it blows off or turns out not too good over time I'll def be goin powdercoat. One of the main reasons I went with paint for now is because I wasn't sure of gunmetal or black.

it looks like it's an attempt at titanium (the pink/purple) with sparkle's added. Personally not a fan but i guess it could be cute

Not a fan either.....but to each their own. Might look good on a rainbow Civic, just sayin....I've had a lot of folks knock me on mine. I tell them "I didn't paint yours or ask you to pay my payment"

I love my wheels! Car is black, but still you get the idea. The finish is amazing up close.
