How much to trim off bumpstops on lowered V

How much is the recommended amount to trim from the front and rear OEM bumstops when lowering a V 1"?

I believe MightyMouse recommended 1/3 to 1/2. I cut 1/2 off of mine (all 4 corners)

I didn't trim anything because I was afraid a big hit will wipe out the plastic wheel tub. The risk you take on a lowered car I guess. I believe Big Jim left his wheel tub on the race track once.

I didnt touch either bumpstops on my car, its had no ill effects on the car and i dont see how it could. id rather it the bumpstops then bottom out the shocks.
