Default recommendations on cutting down noise?

first I'll just say, I love the sound of my exhaust, but I would like it to be just a hair quieter inside the car, for when I'm going round town. Do you guys have any recommendations to help cut down on that noise?

Some kind of insulation to install in the trunk or something?

Thanks

Kooks headers, no cats....I love the sound of the exhaust, outside the car, and with my windows down, but would like to have it more quiet when I'm just putting around town with my windows up

could put sound deader in the trunk some. Where is the resonators in your exhuast. Those also can lead to extra INCABIN noise.

Dynamat your trunk!

ya, I have some Dynamat in my trunk right now, so my sub doesn't vibrate everything, I guess I can look at putting more in there......and as for resonator, if your referring to in the cat-back, dont have one, removed it and put an x-pipe in there

I know for corvettes they have stuff you can put down that will cut sound out by like 19 decibals, but dont find anything for our cars, so seeing if anyone has found something that has worked for them...

not sure what else you could do. Wrap most of the exhuast with header wrap... But i doubt that would do much... If MOST of the sound is coming out through the tips(should) you can only try and deaden the sound from moving forward.

Dynamat/insulate under the rear seat. I lined the entire area under the seat and trunk. Reduced a ton of noise.

So you're running catless headers without a resonator and you want it to be quieter in the car but like how it is outside? And you already have dynamat in the trunk, unless you go through the entire car with dynamat you're SOL. You could always swap back in the resonator and do cutouts, so you could close them when you want it quiet.

well, I only have a little bit of dynamat in the trunk, to stop the vibrating at certain spots, but I'll try to put more in there, and under the seat and see how that does

Rhino liner under the car or rip out the interior Rhino line inside.

That what I would do.

Id pick up some straight through glasspack resonators to put inline with the exhaust somewhere. I am running the factory resonator and i dont have any trouble at all, thats Kooks with HF cats, stock resonator and no mufflers.

I installed Dynomat from the front floorpans to the trunk. Pretty big difference.

I would use dynamat to cover the floor from under the rear seats to the rear trunk wall including the sides and trunk lid. Cover everything.

You could also look into lizard skin. I think it can be installed inside or underneath.
