Weird.
Now I'm getting 12volt from the trunk light.

Still not down hiding the wire.
There is 7 LED pod with 3 LED in each pod.

If you are now getting 12V reading, then I will guarantee that there is a bad ground somewhere in that system. If the ground wire is not making a solid connection then your voltage reading will be all over the place.

Outside of that, looks like you can perform surgery in that truck with all that light.

There a place in Houston Called Electronic Parts Outlet (EPO).
They sell the LED pods for $4 each.Colors are white, blue and red.
Just add some more wire to make it longer and it has 3M tape on the back.

This is from my 94 Lincoln Mark VIII.





This went into the Door lights.

That's super cheap on these.....I guess they last "forever"? They look GREAT. Nice addition

I never had any problem with the LED Pod on my other car.

The light work or they dont work.
I'm guess there is a module for the trunk light that drops the volts down to 6volts.

Going to install a relay kit this week.
