It's hardly a comparison between a V1 and V2, 2 totally different cars.

V1= 2004-2007 CTS-V
V2= 2009+ CTS-V

2004-2005 V have LS6
2006-2007 V have LS2
2009+ is a completely redesigned car with LSA.

Are you looking for a V1 or a V2? Like Doms said, you cant compare the V1 and the V2, completely different cars. If you can afford the V2 then get it.

if you are buying a car to drive like a performance car and have no issue, while enjoying not replacing broken parts....

buy the 2009 and newer one.

based on the depreciation of the V1, you are looking at about 5 years to reach 30K for a V2.

That means a 2009 V2 should be in the 30K range in 2013

That should be quite doable, mid 25's should be the sweet point.

Help a brotha out then? Cause on autotrader... i cant find any. and thats with huge miles to pick it up even.

Locally there is a 06 stealth gray with 43k on it for $24,989. But the price seems high with no 07(warranty). And the stealth gray isnt as nice as thunder.

Did find a 06 in INDINANA with nice mods(black) http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...r_id=291794848

Buts kinda high on price and VERY far for a drive from MD.

It will take some time.

I usually search:

craigslist using http://www.allofcraigs.com/
ebay
autotrader
cars.com

2007's are coming off of lease now, so it's just a matter of searching. And don't be afraid of distance .

Last car I bought was from Florida, and I'm in N. VA.

Im thinking about that one in IN. It would be nice to have most of what I plan on doing DONE to the car.

Anyone know the owner?

This is looking the best. And my Cop brother said he could flash a local PD badge and get a few grand off of that price...

Think its a good deal and close enough to thunder gray?

Price seems high to me.

And how would flashing a badge get you any discount ?

btw, check out inspectmyride.com, I have seen some of their reports and they were top notch, well worth the $$$ for far away cars.
