I wanna say the engine cover was like 600+ but it was real carbon fiber. It was an appearance package.

Correct it was an apperance package from the factory. It was a carbon fiber engine cover and carbon fiber strut tower brace. It was a $1600 or something add on. That is why it is so rare to find because it was so expensive for what you got. Looks badass though.

The strut tower brace is actually functional and not a cover piece, it replaces the stock one. If you are lucky sometimes you can find them on ebay but the last engine cover I saw went for almost $500 without the STB.

Don't forget the screwdriver when you close the hood!

I'm not a big CF fan, but I really like the radiator cover and maybe someday try and search for one...The option price of $1,600 is crazy though and can imagine how much people would get ya for the stuff now (I remember the SAP stuff on the GTO after they stopped making them (~2007, iirc...not the car, the parts) and how much people got for them, holy smokes)

Just last week on ebay there were two sets of cf strut tower braces and engine covers that sold for right at 500ish. I think one set had a buy it now for 495ish. These did not include the rad covers.

These were reported on the other forum before auction ended so that probably jacked the price up on the one set. I've also heard (on other forum) that GM parts suppliers are overstocked on these CF appearance packages and that you can get them for less than half off.
