Default Need Help, thinking my starter just died

So I go out side to start my car, I turn the key it just ticks, no turn over. All my lights are on, so I think it is my starter. What do yall think? And if so, will it be covered under the power train warranty?

Mine did the same thing, click but no start and the lights worked. I put a voltmeter on the battery and it was reading 12.6v. I got underneath the car and the starter wire connector crumbled in my hands, along with the part of the starter where the connector plugs in.

Talk about a PITA.

My car is bone stock and I still had to remove the exhaust, then remove the pass side cat to get the starter off. When the new (non OEM) starter would not go back in the same tight space I realized that it was about 1/2-3/4" longer than the stock starter. I then had to lift the motor about an inch or so to get enough wiggle room to get it in there.

Be sure to buy a new AC Delco plug to wire up while you are at it, if this is indeed your problem. And good luck.

Thanks bro, I have not messed with it yet, I have 2 other cars so ive just been driving them. I will check this for sure. I will try to jump start it, if I can get it started like that, then it should be the battery right?
