Sounds like you should think about a retune or different tune

Im getting 14/22 with a cam and long tubes with timing always pulled for the bottle. I dont think your that far off. I dont believe half the people who say they get better then stock gas mileage with blowers and built motors, it just doesnt happen.

I would expect a little better mileage than 12.5 with that setup. Definitely wouldn't hurt to do a routine maintenance check and then have the tune checked out.

We cant really say what you should be getting without knowing exactly how or where you drive.

Plugs, fuel filter, air filter would be a good start though.

Def check/replace the air and fuel filters, the fuel filter is very critical...it only takes fueling up at a station that just got a fuel delivery and stirred up all the crap in the tank to cause problems. I change them about every 2nd or 3rd oil change. I would also check fuel pressure and make sure the O2 sensors are not poisoned or reading incorrectly from an exhaust leak.

Out of curiosity, do you run E10 up there? I have seen 3 MPG difference in my Silverado during highway driving between real gas and the E10 crap alone. More ethanol = less power/BTU and a richer stoichiometric ratio = more fuel used.

Funny, there was a time when oil based fuels didn't evaporate before your eyes. You can still get the real stuff in the Middle East.

Air filter is fine, it's a newer K&N cone filter.
Fuel filter I could stand to change, haven't changed that since 50k, I'm at about 80k now.

The FAST 102 goes on next week probably Monday, and I want to hit the dyno again after that. I'm tuned with advanced timing, and we'll see where we stand. My car hits WOT a good amount, I drive spirited, but like I said 70/30 city to highway. I used to get 18/23 before the h/c

If you are going to re-tune, I would enable the lean cruise function at 55 MPH (disable @ 54), set the engine run parameters for about 500 sec (so you are not trying to lean it out until fully warm), set the multiplier to ramp up from 1500 RPM at around .950, to around .920 nearing 2000 RPM, and finally .900 up to 2500 RPM. Set the ECT enable tables to work with whatever thermostat you have (set to 1.00 @ your operating temps). The multiplier tables work as such: 14.68100 / .900 = 16.31233 lean cruise stoich. You can go more, just using an example.

Make sure that you only complete the tables in the baro cells used during light throttle cruise (i.e. you do not want it to run lean under high load conditions, only light conditions) and also make sure that you are not going to be fighting with your PE tables, so adjust those accordingly.

**Also, set the correct Stoich for the fuel you are using, if you are running E10 (who's correct Stoich is 14.42254) on the standard gas stoich of 14.6800 you will actually be running around 15.2xxxx, so it is critical to get this correct in the beginning especially if you are going to enable the lean cruise feature.

My lifted cam/heads/headers Silverado on 35" BFG's went from 15.1 MPG to 17.6 by doing this alone. I have really tried to avoid calculating how much the V cost's me in gas.

And how did you enable lean cruise, with what tuning device?

I use HP Tuners...under the "Fuel" section there is a "COT/Lean Cruise" tab where you can enable and commit the changes. I believe EFI Live has the same functions, however they may be a little different.

I just took a six hour trip through the mountains averaging 75 MPH out to West VA to go four wheeling at Hatfield Macoy this weekend...with my heavy *** Polaris Sportsman twin, ramps, fuel, etc in the bed I still averaged 18 MPG. BTW - my brother in law is also averaging 18 MPG empty in his almost $60k 2011 F-150 Eco-Boost catastrophe, which has been in the shop nearly 61 days over the last eight months. Think I am doing pretty good.

I took a shitty cell phone pic and sent it to my buddy with a Duramax telling him he could suck it. LOL. Looks like 10, but trust me its 18.
