Default Shopping for CTS-V in Thunder Grey

Hey guys, if anyone reads the Texas Members forum, my DD was totaled and the lady at fault is covering the liability. They are expediting the process and I should have my payoff difference by mid next week.

I have decided to upgrade to a CTS-V The only thing is that I am dead set on only 1 color - Thunder Grey. I do not want black, red, or the silver that they come in.

I've looked around a little bit on Autotrader, Yahoo, and Craigslist, but no luck.

Just wanted to see if anyone knows of any Thunder Grey V's for sale anywhere, or can recommend some other sites to search. So far they seem very rare and difficult to find, especially with my color choice lol.

Just to verify, am I correct in saying that TG was only offered in 2007? And no CTS-V was produced in 2008?

Yes, you are correct. Thunder grey was 2007 only and there was no 2008 CTS-V.

Give this guy a try. It came up in my searches this past summer. I was looking for and bought a black V. He might still have it.

that thing sold already. I would keep an open minded "color" approach on this. Or your never gonna have a V. That color is super rare

FYI, you said no black, red, or silver. That still leaves "Stealth Grey", which was found on 2005-2006 V's. It is a great color as well.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I realized my color choice would make it near impossible to find my next car. After looking at pictures, silver is starting to appeal to me and the stealth gray also. I will continue my search.

Silver will be easy to find. And silver looks really good when you start blacking things out on it.

Agree on that. I originally wanted silver because I had a black CTS and I know the pains of having to keep the paint maintained, with the swirls, etc... but the silver I had my eyes on got sold from under me.

Fly there and drive it back. Nothing better than getting to know your car for 1300 miles

Sounds like a nice road trip to take some days off

I did call them today and will more than likely put a deposit on Monday to hold it til funds clear with payoff from insurance.

It would be 1000 to ship and a ticket to fly would be def be cheaper.

I just bought a thunder gray black inside 48,100 miles CPO so good to 100k or 2014 for $23,350. They are out there I think they made like 111 of them.
