Default Motor Mount Adapter Plates for Iron Block in a CTS-V

Can't find any info through searching on adapter plates to get an iron block motor into a V other than I will need one.

Does anyone have a picture of this adapter?

Is there a vendor that sells them? Would love to just give some CC info and have this problem solved. If all else fails, I will bring elmers glue, some duct tape, and a cowbell.

Going to go check out the longblock tonight to see what the story is.

My fabrication list is growing:

Hmm, no I dint realize anything would be different. That's new info for me!

Oh, and I've got a CAD design for a diff brace set up (2 slightly different options) I just need to get the local guy to cut them out on his CNC plasma table and test it out.

Are you trying to put a gen 1 or 2 small block in your V?

The iron 5.3 in my truck has the same mount bolts as my LS6. I still have the '01 6.0 to pull for the GN, that may be different. What year/motor are you going with? Even if the holes are not drilled, they should still be there. Any pics?

No special plates are required, your stock motor mounts will work. You will just have to grind down or machine a boss on the passenger side of the block. If you have the engine out, line up the upper motor mount bracket and it will be obvious where it needs to clear.

I need pics of what you're referring to. I don't think it's possible to get stock upper pedistals to work on an iron block with only 4 holes for motor mounts.

The rear two holes that're on the LS6 blocks just aren't there.
